Examinations

 

 

From 2012, the Examination Centre for the railway specialists operates in the company. According to the authorisations (23-05-2012, No. V-287 and 24-03-2014, No. VS-362) issued by the State Railways Inspectorate under the Ministry of Transport and Communications the company performs four types of examinations for:
1. Persons wishing to obtain an engine driver’s license.
 
2. Persons directly responsible for the railway transport traffic:
2.1. persons directly supervising and (or) managing manoeuvres and (or) train traffic;
2.2. locomotive crew members, except those, who have an engine driver’s license.
During the examinations knowledge of information from the following legal acts is examined and assessed: Regulations of the Technical Use of Railways approved by Order No. 297 of 20 September 1996 of the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, Rules for Rail Traffic Signalling approved by Order No. 483 of 30 December 1997 of the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, and Railway Traffic Regulations approved by Order No. 452 of 30 December 1999 of the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania.
 
3. Persons indirectly responsible for the railway transport traffic:
3.1. persons responsible for implementation of railway traffic safety management systems of the railways companies (carriers) or railways infrastructure administration;
3.2. persons working in the safety zones of the railways infrastructure tracks or their equipment.
During the examinations knowledge of information from the following legal acts is examined and assessed: paragraph III Chapter I, section 4.4, 4.6 and 4.7 of paragraph IV Chapter II, section 8.1.1 and 8.1.2 of paragraph VIII Chapter II, section 10.2 of paragraph X Chapter II and section 17.1.1 and 17.2.12 of paragraph XVII Chapter IV of the Regulations of the Technical Use of Railways, and signs No. 18.1-18.16 of section 18 part XII of Annex 1, signals No. 19.1 and 19.2 of section 19 part XIII of Annex 1, and signals No. 20.1, 20.2, 20.13 and 20.16 of section 20 part XIV of Annex 1 of the Rules for Rail Traffic Signalling.
 
 
4. Persons responsible for loading and unloading of cargo in and out of the carriages (work supervisors).

During the examinations knowledge of information from the following legal acts is examined and assessed: Rail Cargo Transportation Rules approved by Order No. 174 of 20 June 2000 of the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania, Rules for Cargo Loading and Securing approved by Order No. 3-611 of 5 November 2003 of the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Lithuania. Persons responsible for loading and unloading of cargo in and out of the carriages (work supervisors): the examinees are allowed to use the texts of these legal acts (they should bring them themselves) during an examination.
